Senator Louis Duvernois meet the French community in Melbourne

Louis Duvernoisa French senator representing the French citizens living outside France, was in Melbourne the 11 April and Tuesday 12 April to meet the French community in Victoria.

His first day, Monday, April 11 was very centered around education.

The senator, accompanied by Mrs. Daniele Kemp, Conseiller Consulaire, made several visits to schools with a French program like Caulfield Junior College, Auburn High School , Camberwell Primary School and Glen Eira College where he visited classrooms and met with the teaching staff. He then received the representatives of several associations of French parents later on the same day, at the Honorary Consulate-General of France in Melbourne.

Tuesday 12 April, after giving an interview at SBS Radio, and before visiting the Alliance Francaise de Melbourne, the senator met the representatives of French associations of Victoria at a lunch organised by the Honorary Consul-General. On that occasion, he presented Mrs. Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie with the medal of honour of the Senate, for her services for the promotion of francophone education in Melbourne.
