The Elegance of the Hedgehog‘s author, Muriel Barbery, was in Melbourne at the beginning of March.

Muriel Barbery burst onto the literacy scene with her novel The Elegance of the Hedgehog. Eight years later, her new book The Lives of Elves tells the story of two gifted young girls – one being in France, the other one in Italy, who simultaneously discover the secret world of elves.

Muriel came to Australia for a series of talks, at the Adelaide Writers’ Week, at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne on 2nd of March and at the Sydney Opera House later on.
