As part of the WWI Centenary commemoration and thanks to the Australian Federal Government’s local grants program, the Provenance Artists Inc society commissioned 23 local artists to create large paintings of World War One. In 2015, Mrs Isabelle Costa de Beauregard-Robertson, former Consul General of France in Melbourne, opened the exhibition in Narre Warren. Nine months later, it is pleasing to know that two major paintings, by artist Zoe Panagiotopoulos will be displayed at the new Sir John Monash Centre in Villers Bretonneux, due to open in 2018. The donation of these two paintings to France was made possible by the Hon Anthony Byrne MP, Federal Member for Holt. A special presentation was held in Cranbourne on April 22nd with Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, Honorary Consul General of France in attendance.
