The Consul General of France in Sydney, Nicolas Croizer, came specially to Melbourne for this happy occasion. A large group of family, friends and members of the French Community in Melbourne, including representatives from all the French Associations, current and former interns of the Consulate, singer Noria Letts and her band, and local French artisans attended the function.

The speeches were reminiscent of fun memories of Jean-Paul and his time at the Consulate. Many people came with parting gifts, including from French Assist and other community members. A portrait by Michel Cannetti was unveiled to Jean-Paul’s delight.

The new Consular Assistant, Lou Desroches will join the team on the 1st of February 2018. We wish her a very warm welcome and all the best in her exciting and dynamic new role!
