On Wednesday, May 22, Mr. Martin Juillard, Consul General of France in Sydney came to Melbourne to host an information evening with the French community. The meeting took place at the French Honorary Consulate in Melbourne..

This was the opportunity to discuss the creation of a new Consulate General of France in Melbourne, which will open in September 2024.

The evening unfolded with a French meal featuring beef bourguignon prepared by Frenchilicious and delicious canelés by Canelés Alain served by the two interns of the Consulate, Estelle and Mary.

It was a pleasure to welcome the various representatives of the French associations of Victoria who took stock of the French Republic’s desire to put Melbourne and Victoria at the forefront of its Australian priorities. The opening of a consulate is indeed extraordinary!
