On the 23rd of July, the Alliance Francaise of Melbourne held a screening of the documentary PASSEURS, a moving and realistic insight into the challenges encountered in the fight against AIDS.
Present at the screening were Dr. Michel Bourrelly, director of the SIDA foundation, as well as the Ambassador in charge of the fight against VIH-SIDA and transmitted diseases, H.E.Mr Philippe Meunier who is and finally Mrs. Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, the Honorary Consulate General of France in Melbourne.
The evolution of society towards more progressive attitudes has allowed for the establishment of medical and educational structures aimed at the treatment, and more importantly, the prevention of this disease.
Both touching and insightful, this documentary is certainly worth seeing.
