The French Tourism bureau, Atout France, held a reception on September 3rd at  Hotel Sofitel Melbourne, to welcome the General Director of the tour de France, Mr. Christian Prudhomme, who was in Australia to meet a passionate public.

Surrounded by pictures of the tour, bikes, French landscapes, and the welknown chef Gabriel Gaté, a little cycling race was not a surprise! The French Consul Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie put on the yellow jersey to participate with her colleague the consul of Monaco, Andrew Cannon, and the former Australian champion Kate Bates to a  final sprint.

This event was a new proof of the strong attachment between Australian and French people, their common love for the Tour, for France and for sport !
