Ms. Anne Boillon, the newly appointed Consul General of France in Sydney, visited Melbourne for the first time on September 11th and 12th. Guided by Ms. Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, Honorary Consul General of France in Melbourne, they had a big two-day.
Ms. Boillon started with the visit of the Honorary Consulate of France in Melbourne where a ceremony of nationality was held, before meeting the presidents of the French associations in Melbourne at The French Brasserie. It was a nice occasion to discuss everyone’s involvment in the French community.

The day concluded with a cocktail reception held at the Honorary Consulate in presence of a large number of representatives from the French community, across a wide range of sectors. Please see our article on the subject.
The following day, Ms. Boillon visited the main schools offering a French programme in Melbourne:
At lunch time, the directors of various Kindergartens and French programmes for little children gathered together at The Bakers Wife in Melbourne. It was a great opportunity to exchange on the best practices and the various challenges in the sector.
Finally, the day concluded by a visit of the Alliance Française in Melbourne where the newly appointed director, Ms. Johanna Durand, gave a tour of the premises.
