For the first time in history, you can tour the magnificent Abbotsford Convent and learn about the site’s rich history in French – the native language of the Sisters who established the convent in 1863, which is now converted into an arts, culture and education precinct.
You are invited to discover the diverse history of the Abbotsford Convent with Convent tenant Delphine Laboureau-Ormancey, managor of French tête-à-tête, who has over 20 years experience teaching the language. She will guide you through the dramatic interiors, serene grounds and unrestored dormant spaces – giving insight into the different lifestyles that existed throughout the Convent’s history.
