Laure Prouvost is a contemporary French artist recognized for her work as a visual artist and filmmaker. She is well-known for her immersive installations, blending film, sculpture, tapestry, performance, and language. Laure has been awarded many prizes, the Max Mara Prize for Women in 2011, the Turner Prize in 2013. She also represented France at the Venice Biennale in 2019.
You can explore her works from March 23 to June 10, 2024 at The Australian Center for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne, through her exhibition entitled “Oui move on you.” [Free entrance].
The exhibition is conceived as a celebration of liberation and imagination, of the sensory and sensual, of being and belonging.The artist aims to guide the audience on a journey from the subconscious to the real world.
