Don’t miss the Melbourne concert, ‘Sacrifice – The lost songbirds of the Somme’, which will take place on 22 June at 8pm at Scots Church in the CBD. It promises to be a solemn commemoration and a fitting tribute to the creative genius of the soldiers lost through war.
“The Flowers of War“, is a project of nine concerts commemorating some of the major battles of the First World War and will be accompanied by symposia with noted experts in the field on the centenary of the ‘Battle of the Somme’.
Mr Chris Latham, the producer of the project, will make a free presentation at 6:30pm before the concert. Bookings are essential.
