On Thursday, 28 February, the traditionnal Welcome Coffee organised by Melbourne Accueil and French Assist was more successful than ever with representatives from Union des Français de l’Etranger (UFE), French Bilingual Association, Bastille Day French Festival, Ecole française de Melbourne, l’Alliance française and FACCI.
This year, we had the honour of the presence of Ms Anne Genetet, Member of the French National Assembly, representing the French citizens living abroad, and of Mr Nicolas Croizer, Consul General de France in Sydney.
Madame Genteel, in her address, reminded the importance of the French community living abroad and paid particular homage to the Bastille Day French Festival initiative of gathering together all the associations around the National Day.
It was a lovely occasion to socialise with a coffee, some macarons and a pain au chocolat ! The delicious pastries were kindly offered by Frenchilicious Kitchenand Mosaic pâtisserie and the ones from Noisette were graciously given by Mr. Serge Poumes, the President of UFE.
We thank them for their generosity !
