In a fascinating lunchtime seminar at the University of Melbourne, PhD candidate Sabine Cotte spoke on celebrated artist Mirka Mora’s techniques and use of materials. Born in Paris in 1928, Mora moved to Australia in 1951 and became a major figure in Melbourne’s social and artistic history.
Cotte worked closely with Mora to explore her techniques and choices of materials in her art-making. Mora even gave Cotte access to her studio and private diaries.
A wonderful look at such an inspiring French woman, by another inspiring French woman!
