Did you know Melbourne has not only the world’s biggest and longest serving tram network – but also the most successful ? Discover why in the book by Aymeric Perfrement, a young member of the French community in Melbourne, “Why Melbourne’s Tram Network is the most successful in the world” !

Nineteen year old Aymeric wrote the book as a way “to take a break from studying maths and physics at school”… He describes how trams have, to a large degree, shaped the fabric of Melbourne.The official launch took place at the Melbourne Tram Museum on November 26 with one of Yarra Trams’ directors, members of various tram museums and rail and bus unions.

Aymeric’s book will appeal to Melbournians, the Francophone community and visitors to Melbourne alike. Each story depicts historical photographs and drawings from the Melbourne Tram Museum and their enthusiastic volunteers.
