The “Ecole du Nord” Project has been working towards the creation of a French-English bilingual immersion program in a state primary school for children living in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

The French Bilingual Association will be overseeing the project. Around 175 interested children are already on the waiting list. Most of these children are from binational families where both French and English are spoken at home.

Two private kindergarten programs are also in the works.
