Every two years since 2010, Castlemaine Secondary College hosts a group of students from the French Lycée Baudimont and then late in the year, student from Castlemaine make a return visit to Arras, a very pretty town in Northern France.
While in Victoria, the French students attend school, live with local families and also get to experience a range of other extra activities both with their families and also through a program organised by the school. Likewise, the students from Castlemaine participate in a similar style program when they visit France, stopping in Paris for a few days on their way to get the broader experience.
This exchange has a large impact on students, not only those who host, but it also captures the interest and imagination of many students at the school and people in the broader community.
