How to make children read in our digitalized world?… and read in French!

The Convenor of French Studies at the University of Melbourne, Professor Véronique Duché and the Honorary Consul General of France in Melbourne, Ms Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie warmly invite you to a Francophonie Forum on Thursday, 30 August 2018 at 6pm at the University of Melbourne.

You will be able to hear from world renowned author, Michelle de Kretser, (‘The Rose Grower’, ‘Questions of Travel’, ‘The Life to Come’), who is fluent in French!Following her address, a distinguished panel will open a discussion on strategies to increase children’s interest in books. The panel will be chaired by Professor Jo Lo Bianco, Professor of Language and Literacy
Education, Melbourne Graduate School of Education, and will include representatives from the Department of Education and Training, educators from Camberwell Primary School, Caulfield Junior College, Glen Eira College, Presbysterian Ladies’ College and award winning children’s author Marc Martin (‘A River’).
