On Wednesday 25 March from 6.00pm to 7.30pm, AIIA Victoria will welcome Gareth Evans to launch Peter Edwards’ new book, Law, Politics and Intelligence: A Life of Robert Hope (NewSouth Publishing, March 2020) which brings to this longstanding issue the perspective of a leading historian. This book makes an important contribution to the debate on judges acting as Royal Commissioners, and contains new information on the appointment of High Court and Supreme Court judges and the removal of the Whitlam government.
