Metro Tunnel Presentation by Seved Robin, Bouygues Australia CEO

On Wednesday March 20, Mr. Seved Robin, CEO of Bouygues Construction Australia, was the guest speaker of the Australian French Association for Science and Technology – AFAS. He discussed the Metro Tunnel project for Melbourne’s metropolitan rail system.

The Metro Tunnel is one of Bouygues Construction Australia’s largest Private-Public Partnership (PPP) contracts. Bouygues is cooperating in the project with Lendlease Engineering and John Holland, under a joint venture called Cross Yarra PartnershipBouygues is delivering the design and construction of a new North-South rail line comprising twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five underground stations, including two stations in the CBD. Anzac Station will considerably reduce congestion along St. Kilda Road – the longest tram corridor in the world ! The two CBD stations also present logistical and technical challenges to surmount.

A fascinating project that will be delivered in 2025 !
