On Friday 26 November, Mr. Gilbert Charbonnier, the President by Interim of the Anciens Combattants Français du Victoria, presented the Insigna of Knight in the National Order of Merit to the President, Mr. Claude Midon after his 50 years of service to the community.
The National Order of Merit is an award by the French Republic created in the 20th century to reward “distinguished merit”. It is the second national Order after the Legion of Honor.
Mr. Claude Midon is the president of the French Veterans of Victoria. He is an invaluable, esteemed and dedicated member of the community. We extend our warmest congratulations to him and his wife Madeleine for this well-deserved award.
