The UFE (Union of the French Living Abroad) is an organization aiming to welcome and help the French community, especially the French who have just arrived in the country.. It also hosts cultural, gastronomic or informative events for its members.

Starting on the first of March 2023, the UFE of Melbourne reopens its AVENIR antenna, which was closed since 2019. The main goal of UFE AVENIR is to help young francophones to settle in Melbourne. Its president, Serge Poumès, will reopen this activity that he had initiated in 2008; he will be available by phone from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm at 0412 238 750.
