Pascale Quester received the Medal of the ”Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite”

On Saturday 8th of July Prof. Pascale Quester, Vice-Chancellor and president of the University of Swinburne University of Technology received the medal of the ‘’Officier de l’Ordre National du Merite’’ from His Excellency Mr. Jean-Pierre Thebault, the Ambassador of France to Australia, in the presence of the Honorary Consul General of France in Melbourne,  Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie.

Professor Quester is an active and respected researcher in the areas of consumer behaviour and marketing communications. Firstly, she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from her native France, a Master of Arts (Marketing) from Ohio State University, in the United States and a PhD from Massey University in New Zealand.

Before joining Swinburne University, Pascale Quester was Vice chancellor as well as president of the University of Adelaide until 2020. Moreover, her positions and investments within the research in sustainable energies made her a role model in her field and represent an inspiration for the French community in Australia.

In 2012, Professor Quester was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (National Order of Merit), one of France’s highest honours, in recognition of her contribution to higher education in both France and Australia. This award is the reflexion of Pascale Quester’s long-lasting contribution to enhancing our bilateral relations.
