Ross McMullin, an award-winning historian, biographer and entertaining speaker, will present his new book “Pompey Elliott at war: in his own words” on Tuesday 12 February, 6:00-7:30 pm at Sam Merrifield Library. Using first-hand accounts from the personal letters and diaries of General Harold Edward “Pompey” Elliott, Ross McMullin portrays the frank, forthright and controversial Australian General who led triumphs at the Battles of Villers-Bretonneux and Polygon Wood.
